Go Tanihata was born in Osaka, Japan.
After he received his B.F.A. from Kyushu Sangyo University in 1994, he pursued a photographic career in New York .
While studying Photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology, he started as a photographic assistant / drum scan operator. In the following years, Tanihata developed his retouching technique. Soon he became a power house of his digital retouching team.
Tanihata has built a comprehensive list of clients over the years such as Italian Vogue, W, Numero, Harper’s Bazaar, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Miu Miu, Gucci, Bvlgari, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Armani, Victoria’s Secret, Rolex, Nike, Shiseido, Avon, Lancome, Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, Lanvin, Ferragamo, H&M, Uniqlo, Adidas, Y-3, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Versace.
He currently resides in New York.
